This specimen was part of lot 27639 in Heritage sale 3022 (New York, January 2013), which sold for $558.13. The catalog description[1] noted, "Anne to George II silver coins, various types, average grade VF and toned." The silver tuppence was struck for queen Anne 1703-13 in sufficient numbers that it is fairly common today. It is still struck in silver for the Maundy sets but was superseded for circulation by the copper tuppence in 1797.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: KM 513.
