This specimen was lot 30986 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $411.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Frederick I Ore 1723, MS64 NGC. A most attractive example of this rare variety without the mintmaster's initials, GZ. The surfaces are fresh and fully lustrous and the strike is very crisp. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." This billon type was struck for Frederick I 1720-49 and is common. This variety without the mintmaster's initials is scarce. One mark was eight öre.
Recorded mintage: 1,931,000 (including mintmaster "GZ").
Specification: 1.19 g, .194 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM 382, SM-158b.
