This specimen was lot 49428 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Ore, 1723-Gz. Stockholm Mint. Fredrik I. NGC AU-58." This billon type was struck for Frederick I 1720-43, 1747-49 and is common. A variety without the mintmaster's initials exists. One mark was eight öre.
Recorded mintage: 1,931,000 including those without "GZ".
Specification: 1.19 g, 0.194 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
