This specimen was lot 237 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. Georg II. 1727-1760. Taler 1752, Zellerfeld. Ausbeute der Grube Lautenthals Glück. Münzmeister Johann Benjamin Hecht. Vorzüglich. Revers leicht berieben. (Germany, electorate of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, George II, 1727-60, thaler of 1752, Zellerfeld mint, for the Lautenthal's Luck mine. Extremely Fine, Reverse slightly polished.)"
This type was issued on four dates 1745-56. It is rather scarce. Hannover, linked to the British crown 1714-1837, embroiled England in several continental conflicts the British establishment would rather have steered clear of.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 29.28 g, silver, this specimen 29.19 g.
Catalog reference: Smith 129. Welter 2566. Müseler 10.6.3/38. Dav-2099.
