This specimen was lot 5087 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Halbbatzen 1594, Bern. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Bern, half batzen of 1594, Bern mint. Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1590, 1594, 1614 and undated. The 1614 is catalogued as KM 9. The reverse legend, "☩ BERCHTO · D : ZERIN : CONDI", likely refers to Berthold V, last duke of Zähringen (r. 1186-1218).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.31 g, billon, 22 mm diameter, this specimen 1.35 g.
Catalog reference: KM 9 (unlisted date), Lohner 752, HMZ 2-175j.
