This specimen was lot 567 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 27 (Winter Park, FL, May 2020), where it sold for $517.65. The catalog description[1] noted, "Potosí, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1633(T). Very bold and 100% full date, full king's name and denomination dot-8-dot, full shield and cross, AVF with dark porous area near edge." The Potosí mint was the second mint in the western hemisphere to date its products. Dating began in 1617.
