This specimen was lot 3522 in Sincona sale 26 (Zurich, October 2015), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$649 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''1/2 Silberdukat 1762. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. FDC.'' (province of Utrecht, half silver ducat of 1762, scarce in this quality, uncirculated.)"</blockquote> This type was issued from Utrecht 1761-83. Most have a "cabled edge" but a few minted 1761-66 have a "flowered edge"; the specimen shown here appears to be the first.
