This specimen was lot 71757 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Utrecht. 1/2 Silver Ducat, 1761. PCGS MS-62. An impressive silver minor with elegant presence. The razor-sharp central devices are surrounded by full glowing luster. The argent surfaces display just a light tinge of toning. Well-struck and problem-free. It would be difficult to surpass this piece in eye appeal. From the Pat Johnson Collection." This type was struck 1761-62 and 1766 with a flowered edge (KM 116a) and struck 1761-76, 1781-83 with a cabled edge (KM 116, shown here).
