This type was struck 1893-1901 and is the final type for Queen Victoria (r. 1837-1901). It is the most readily available shilling in nice condition and none of the dates are rare. This specimen was lot 4356 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $99.87. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Shilling, 1900. Victoria. Struck months before the Queen's death. A beautiful mint state specimen with pleasantly eye catching golden-green tone. NGC graded MS-64."
Recorded mintage: 10,938,000, a common date.
Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW.
