Stack's Bowers October 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 76198

This specimen was lot 76198 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 100 Dinars, AH 1302 (1884/85). Nasir al-Din Shah. PCGS MS-62 Brown." This copper coin was struck AH 1297-1308 and 1313 plus various bungled dates. One shahi was fifty dinars. With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.

Specification: 10.25 g, copper, 30.48 mm diameter.
