Stack's Bowers November 2022 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75011

This specimen was lot 75011 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1623. James I. PCGS VF-35. Mintmark fleur de lis upon rose. Sixpence coins of James were spent, not saved, so few can be found at a Very Fine level." This sixpence was struck 1621-24. The sixpence was the only denomination to consistently receive dates.

Specification: 3.01 g, 0.925 fine silver.
