The first specimen was lot 2091 in Goldberg sale 110 (Los Angeles, June 2019), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. 30 Dollars, 2012-P. Elizabeth II. Reverse: Year of the Dragon. NGC graded MS-69." The second specimen was lot 71546 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[2] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Colorized 30 Dollars (Kilo), 2012-P. Perth Mint. Elizabeth II. GEM PROOF. Lunar series, Year of the Dragon. An enchanting reverse proof issue, this massive silver striking features a colorized dragon along with gemstones in place of the fiery pearl and the dragon's eyes." This type also comes colorized (see KM 1668a). Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types.

Recorded mintage: unknown plus 500 of KM-1668a.

Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver 101 mm diameter, 32.1186 ounces ASW.

Catalog reference: The first specimen is KM-1668, the second specimen is KM-1668a.
