Sincona sale 63, lot 2615

This specimen was lot 2615 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 35 CHF (about US$44 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"EDELMETALL-AUKTION | AUSTRALIA, 1 Dollar 2012. Australian Lunar II. Year of the Dragon. 1 OZ. Feingewicht total: 31.10 Gramm. FDC. In Originalschachtel mit Zertifikat. (commonwelath of Australia, dollar of 2012, lunar calendar, year of the dragon. Uncirculated, Colour printed silver proof coin. In original box with certificate.)"

This product of the Perth mint was issued in many versions, including plain silver (KM 1664), gilt (KM 1664.1) and printed in various colors, including this one in black and red (KM 1664.4).

Recorded mintage: 304,000 + 200,000 with privy mark + 5,000 proofs + 238,331 in various colored and gilt versions.

Specification: 31.11 g, 0.999 fine silver, 1.000 troy oz, 45.6 mm diameter.
