This specimen was lot 5863 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €750 (about US$1,044 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Christian II. Johann Georg I. und August, 1591-1611. Reichstaler 1592, Dresden. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung AU 58 (4861412-004). Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Feine Patina, vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Christian II, John George I and August, 1591-1611, thaler of 1592, Dresden mint. Graded NGC AU-58, rare in this quality, fine patina, extremely fine.)"
This type was struck in 1592-1601 for dukes Christian II, Johann Georg and August of Saxony.
