The specimen shown is from a type struck for Australia 1966-84. This type was struck in large numbers and no dates are rare. The succeeding type (KM 79) used the Maklouf bust of the queen 1985-91, after which the denomination was suspended.

Recorded mintage: 177,227,000 plus 80,000 proofs (shown here).

Specification: 5.2 g, bronze, 21.6 mm diameter.
