This specimen was lot 6028 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $399.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 200 Dollars, 1980. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Mint fresh with frosty unbroken devices and flashing brilliant fields." This type introduced the denomination was struck 1980-84. This module was used for various commemoratives until 1992. The two hundred dollar denomination also appeared on several two ounce gold and platinum bullion coins.
