This specimen was lot 1741 in Sincona sale 82 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 5,250 CHF (about US$7,026 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "George II. 1727-1760. Guinea 1730, London. Second young laureate head. Äusserst selten (Extremely rare). NGC AU58. Finest certified by NGC." This scarce type was struck 1727-38 with this particular bust used 1730-32. A few guineas were struck marked "EIC" but none in 1730.
