This specimen was lot 2305 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$381 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. 10 Kronen 1909, Wien. Stempel von R. Marschall. Gutes vorzüglich. (empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ten corona of 1909, Vienna mint, dies by R. Marschall. About Uncirculated.)"
This "small head" ten corona was struck in 1909 only but in sufficient quanity that it is common today. The "large head" is most easily distinguished by its short neck and the continuous legend.
Recorded mintage: 2,319,872 plus 192,135 of the large head (KM 2816).
Specification: 3.38 g, 0.900 fine gold, 19 mm diameter, this specimen 3.39 g.
