The second specimen was lot 150 in Sincona sale 75 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 3,600 CHF (about US$4,370 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[2]</sup> noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. Charles II. 1660-1685. 1/2 Guinea 1684, London. Second laureate bust. NGC AU55." This type was struck 1672-84. There is a similar type (KM 439.2) struck 1676-84 with an elephant and castle added below the king's bust; this marked gold obtained from Africa.

The first specimen was lot 20324 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Guinea, 1684.
