Steve Album sale 27, lot 1610
Sweden Alb27-1610r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1610 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $129.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Oscar II, 1872-1907, AE 5 öre, 1878. A very scarce date when choice, NGC graded MS65 BR." This type was minted 1874-1900. This subtype with a small obverse legend was issued 1874-89. The type is fairly common but has a rather high catalog value which the price realized here did not meet.

Recorded mintage: 364,000.

Specification: 8 g, bronze, 27 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-736.
