This specimen was lot 33240 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $5,400. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Frederick I Plate Money 4 Daler 1727 XF, Avesta mint. An even and well-finished plate, perhaps lightly cleaned long ago, though this is hardly unknown for this series often recovered from shipwrecks. We have been able to locate very few examples of this date coming to auction in recent years. From the Charles J. Opitz Collection."
