"KÖNIGREICH Louis XV, 1715-1774. Ecu aux rameaux d'olivier 1728, Münzzeichen "9", Rennes. Herrliche Patina, Rückseite justiert, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (kingdom of France, Louis XV, 1715-74, écu of the olive branches of 1728, Rennes mint. Toned, obverse adjustment marks, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This coin is an écu aux branches d'olivier from the Rennes mint. Rennes mint issues are known for the entire span of the type (1726-40) but most dates are average (neither rare nor common) including this one. The Rennes mint closed in 1771.
