This specimen was lot 3229 in Sincona sale 91 (Zurich, May 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 1 Sol 1555, Genf. Münzzeichen B. Fast sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, one sol of 1555, Geneva mint, mintmark "B". About very fine.)"
This type was struck 1536-40, 1550-76, 1580-97, and many dates have mintmaster's initials. The 1555 comes with initials B or G.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.64 g, billon, 21 mm diameter, this specimen 1.55 g.
