Sincona sale 84, lot 325

This specimen was lot 325 in Sincona sale 84 (Zurich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 5 Kopecks 1837, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB NG. Very fine. From the Soedermann Collection."

This silver type was struck 1832-58 simultaneously with a copper coin of the same value (KM C140) issued from several branch mints, particularly Ekaterinburg.

Recorded mintage: 1,140,000.

Specification: 1.03 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 1.08 g.
