Boldly struck and with little sign of marks or chatter, this piece is rather appealing." The first specimen was lot 33158 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $822.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "British Colony - Edward VII 1/4 Piastre 1902 MS64 Red and Brown NGC. This type was spent, not saved. Finding one this choice is not easily done." The second specimen was lot 72684 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[2] noted, "CYPRUS. 1/4 Piastre, 1902.
