Shown is an 1808MoTH half real, one of a type struck 1792-1808. The bust of Charles IV was superseded by the "imaginary bust" of Ferdinand VII (used because Ferdinand was rotting in a French prison) during this year; both types are known for 1808. Assayer TH is recorded for the years 1804-10.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.896 fine silver, .048 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: Cayón-13353, KM 72.
