This specimen was lot 45104 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 5 Rial, SH 1311/0 (1932). PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. An untoned coin with frosty full luster and good strike detail." This silver five rials was introduced 1931-34 and replaced an earlier 5000 dinars (KM 1106).
