This specimen was lot 32459 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $252. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Shilling 1911-(L) MS62 NGC, London mint. A pleasing example with old-time toning on both the obverse and reverse." The type was struck 1911-36 at London (shown here), Melbourne and Heaton. This date is common up thru Extremely Fine.

Recorded mintage: 1,700,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW, 23.5 mm diameter.
