Sincona sale 90, lot 2037

This specimen was lot 2037 in Sincona sale 90 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939. 20 Halér (Heller) 1933, Kremnitz. Seltener Jahrgang. Gutes vorzüglich. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, Rare date, Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1921-33 and 1937-38 and this is the key date. The other dates are common. Czechoslovakia obtained the Kremnitz mint as part of Slovakia when Hungary was partitioned after World War One.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.33 g, copper-nickel, 20 mm diameter, this specimen 3.22 g.
