This specimen was lot 50076 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $646. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Ducat, 1933. NGC MS-62. Anton Svehla." During the brief existence of the first republic of Czechoslovakia (1918-39), the Kremnica mint managed to produce some handsome coins, but whether this is one of them is uncertain. It is not listed in the SCWC (having been banished to the Unusual World Coins) and may actually be a medal. The regular ducat featured "good" king Wenceslas, he of the well-known Christmas carol.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 oz AGW.
