Czechoslovakia 1925 20 haleru

Sincona sale 90, lot 2000

This specimen was lot 2000 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$369 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939, 1918-1939. 20 Halér (Heller) 1925, Kremnitz. Seltener Jahrgang. Gutes vorzüglich. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, twenty heller of 1925, Kremnitz mint. Rare date, Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1921-33 and 1937-38 and the 1933 is the key date. The 1925 is slightly scarce. Czechoslovakia obtained the Kremnitz mint as part of Slovakia when Hungary was partitioned after World War One.
