Sincona sale 90, lot 2000

This specimen was lot 2000 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$369 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939, 1918-1939. 20 Halér (Heller) 1925, Kremnitz. Seltener Jahrgang. Gutes vorzüglich. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, twenty heller of 1925, Kremnitz mint. Rare date, Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1921-33 and 1937-38 and the 1933 is the key date. The 1925 is slightly scarce. Czechoslovakia obtained the Kremnitz mint as part of Slovakia when Hungary was partitioned after World War One.

Recorded mintage: 4,244,000.

Specification: 3.33 g, copper-nickel, 20 mm diameter, this specimen 3.28 g.
