Czechoslovakia 1926 5 haleru
This specimen was part of lot 2005 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$159 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939. 5 Halér (Heller) 1926, Kremnitz. Lot von 2 Stück. Seltener Jahrgang. Vorzüglich. Zaponiert. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, five haleru of 1926, Kremnitz mint, lot of two pieces. Rare date, Extremely fine, Zaponized (lacquered).)"
This type was struck 1923-32 and 1938. The 1926, 1930 and 1932 are somewhat scarce, the others are common. Czechoslovakia obtained the Kremnitz mint as part of Slovakia when Hungary was partitioned after World War One.
