Czech SB819-20366r.jpg

This specimen was lot 20366 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $7,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA. 5 Dukatu (Ducats), 1929. Kremnica Mint. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. A desirable early issue in the popular 5 Dukat series. Vibrant lemon-yellow coloration dominates the patina, complemented by intensely satiny luster throughout the fields. Sharply struck and nicely centered, with just a few light hairlines visible on the reverse. Just 1785 pieces struck and only 2 graded finer by PCGS."
