This specimen was lot 20102 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Gold Medallic Ducat, 1929. PCGS MS-63. Commemorating the 1000th anniversary of Christianity in Bohemia, this example offers a high degree of brilliance and luster and a sharp strike, and stands with just six finer in the PCGS census." During the brief existence of the first republic of Czechoslovakia (1918-39), the Kremnica mint managed to produce gold one dukat, two dukaty and five and ten dukatu issues featuring king Wenceslas. This commemorative is considered a non-circulating medal, altho the regular Wenceslas ducats didn't circulate either.
