This specimen was lot 3010 in Sincona sale 47 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$168 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND, Uri, 2 Batzen 1811. Fast vorzüglich. (canton of Uri, two batzen of 1811. About extremely fine.)"
This rare issue was accompanied by a rappen, half, one and four batzen, all from 1811. After being temporarily unified under Napoleon's Helvetic Republic, the cantons went their separate ways after the Congress of Vienna and issued a torrent of low value coins. Not until 1850 would a unified confederation mint her own coins and terminate the local issues.
Reported Mintage: 3,510.
Specification: silver, this specimen 2.49 g.
