This specimen was lot 4261 in Goldberg sale 74 (Los Angeles, June 2013), where it sold for $287.50 including buyer's fees. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bolivia. 2 Reales, 1778-PR (Potosi). PCGS graded AU-55." This type was struck in Bolivia 1773-89. Assayer PR is recorded for 1776-95. Harris[2] notes that Potosi two reales of Charles III are the commonest mint, ahead of Mexico City.
