Künker sale 386, lot 6085

This specimen was lot 6085 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €3,400 (about US$4,394 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANKFURT, STADT, 2 Dukaten 1711, auf die Krönung Karls VI. zum römischen Kaiser in Frankfurt. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Kl. Probierspuren am Rand, leicht gewellt, sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 155, Osnabrück 2009, Nr. 3830. (city of Frankfurt, double ducat of 1711, on the coronation of Charles VI as Roman emperor in Frankfurt. Extremely rare, small mount mark on edge, slightly wavy, very fine to extremely fine.)"
