This specimen was lot 30643 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $3,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Lübeck. Free City Proof 5 Mark 1908-A PR67 Cameo PCGS, Berlin mint. Captivating; a spectacular Proof offering approaching technical perfection. Blast white mirror surfaces backlight the frosted devices, the cameo appearance pristine and highly appealing to the eye. Amongst the finest available to collectors." This type was struck intermittently 1904-1913. It is scarce.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
