Sincona sale 59, lot 1277

This specimen was lot 1277 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Empire | Preussen, Königreich, Wilhelm II. 1888-1918. 5 Mark 1908 A, Berlin. Vorzüglich-FDC. Feine Patina. (empire of Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William II, 1888-1918, five mark of 1908, Berlin mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Nicely toned.)"

This is the last year of issue of a type struck 1891-1908. Two mark and three mark exist with this bust.

Recorded mintage: 2,230,579.
