Shown is a Spanish one real struck in 1755 at the Madrid mint. This type was struck 1746-1759, but the assayer JB only appears in 1747-1758. This specimen was auctioned by Marti Hervera in Barcelona, Spain, on May 3, 2011, where it sold for 50 Euros (about US$81 including buyer's fees). The catalog description reads:

"1 Real. 1755. MADRID. J.B. MBC. (one real of 1728, Madrid mint, very fine.)"

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.917 fine silver, 0.0995 troy oz ASW.
