This specimen was lot 73303 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $55. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Rappen, 1913-B. Bern Mint. NGC MS-66 Brown. Incredibly vibrant and engaging, this Gem radiates with tremendous brilliance and exhibits some hints of violet among the brown nature." This type was struck at the Bern mint 1850-1941. This is a common date. Zinc rappen were minted during World War Two and when bronze rappen resumed in 1948, a modified design was introduced.
