Russia G84-4581r.jpg

This specimen was lot 4581 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia. 25 Kopeks, 1841/0 СПБ НГ. Nicholas I. Toned. PCGS graded EF-40." This type is listed for 1832-58 and has a low catalog value in circulated condition. The overdate shown here is common; the normal date is rare. A few are known from the Warsaw mint (KM C166.2).

Recorded mintage: 20,000.

Specification: 5.18 g, .868 fine silver.

Catalog reference: Bitkin 1st ed-240; Sev-3352 var; KM-C166.1.
