TUN 1983 1dinar-rev.JPG

This specimen was issued by Tunisia as part of the F.A.O. series. Unlike the previous F.A.O. dinar, this one was struck in copper-nickel. This type was also struck in 1976. The obverse portrait is of Habib Bourgiba, founder and president of Tunisia. The F.A.O. issues of 1988-90 had Bourgiba's bust removed.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper-nickel.

Catalog reference: KM 304.
