This specimen was issued by Tunisia as part of the F.A.O. series. This type was also struck in 1983. The obverse portrait is of Habib Bourgiba, founder and president of Tunisia. The F.A.O. issues of 1988-90 had Bourgiba's bust removed.

Recorded mintage: 700,000.
