This specimen was lot 34079 in Heritage sale 3106 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $5,520. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Netherlands: Utrecht. Provincial gold 2 Ducat 1750 MS62 Prooflike PCGS. Among an immensely small handful of these gold issues assigned the coveted Prooflike designation, and aptly so, the deep mirrors created by the field nearly unobstructed, reflecting mint flash upon illumination. Shockingly crisp and worthy of additional consideration as the finest certified at PCGS." This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794 but remains expensive.
