Sincona sale 51, lot 4292

This specimen was lot 4292 in Sincona sale 51 (Zurich, October 2018), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$181 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"10 Rappen 1914 B, Bern. PCGS MS66+. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Swiss confederation, ten rappen of 1914, Bern mint. Magnificent condition.)"

This type was struck 1879-2015 without change. This date is common. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.15 mm diameter, plain edge.
