This specimen was lot 2080 in Sincona sale 25 (Zurich, October 2015), where it sold for 28,000 CHF (about US$34,586 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Taler 1561. Curved arms between S O under a nimbate double eagle. In the legend at 11 o'clock the last two numerals of the date 61. Rev. St. Ursus standing facing with long sword and banner. Of highest rarity, especially in this unique quality. Brilliant uncirculated. Cabinet piece. The taler of 1561 is in itself very rare. In this mint state conservation it is undoubtedly the finest known specimen."
Davenport notes this type was also struck without date along with the similar Dav-8755 thru -8759.
