This specimen was lot 81 in Sincona sale 75 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 12,000 CHF (about US$14,566 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. James I. 1603-1625. Unite of 20 Shillings n. d. (1609-1610), Tower Mint. Second coinage. Fourth bust. Mintmark key. NGC MS62. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Magnificent condition.)" The unite was twenty shillings and was the largest denomination struck by the Stuarts before the Civil War. It was last struck in 1660 under the Commonwealth. It was superseded by the milled guinea.
