This specimen was lot 30704 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russian Duchy Proof Markka 1866-S PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS, Helsinki mint. An undeniable stunner in hand, with full flash emanating from the mirrors and just a hint of autumnal color touching the design features. At present time, this is the only certified Proof example of the type by PCGS." This type was issued 1864-67 and 1870.
Recorded mintage: 1,990,000.
Specification: 5.18 g, .868 fine silver, 24 mm diameter.
