This specimen was lot 40133 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $2,232. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 1/4 Ducat, 1710. Dresden Mint. NGC AU Details--Rim Filing. Friedrich August I (1694-1733)." These tiny coins are popular and expensive. This type is known for 1710 only while KM 725 is recorded for 1710-33. The denomination was abandoned after 1743.
